Corbin Burnes, RHP, St. Mary’s

Due to his mid-90s fastball, Burnes profiles as an intriguing major-leaguer whether he’s in the rotation or the bullpen. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound righty needs to work on his slider, curveball, and changeup, but considering his dominance at St. Mary’s this season—a 9-1 record, 2.23 ERA, and .208 opponent average with 112 strikeouts and 31 walks in 97 innings—it’s pretty clear that he’s got some already-established pitching IQ. He’d be an interesting option for the Cards at the end of the first round.
