3. Jacksonville Jaguars- Randy Gregory, OLB/DE, Nebraska
Though their record may not show it, the Jaguars have already been able to fill a lot of needs since the new leadership team of owner Shahid Khan, general manager David Caldwell, and head coach Gus Bradley took over. They have a quarterback in place for at least the next few years in 2014 first-rounder Blake Bortles, and they’ve developed a solid group of offensive contributors around him.
The one area that Jacksonville is still lacking in is with their pass rush, which was 33-year-old Seahawks castoff Chris Clemons and breakout defensive tackle Sen’Derrick Marks. By selecting Gregory, who has the best raw pass rushing skills of any player in this year’s draft class, Bradley can fully utilize the “LEO” (hybrid linebacker/defensive end) position as he did in Seattle with Bruce Irvin. Plugging in Irvin on Seattle’s defense allowed the Seahawks to take their pass rush to the next level, and Bradley will certainly hoping that the addition of Gregory in that spot will allow the Jaguars to do the same.
Next: 4. Oakland Raiders
