27. Dallas Cowboys- Dorial Green-Beckham, WR, Missouri

Jerry Jones can say he’s taking a stand against domestic violence all he wants. The fact remains, though, that his best offensive player, Dez Bryant, allegedly beat up his own mother in 2012, and Jones welcomed back Josh Brent this season, two years after he killed his own teammate, Jerry Brown, in a drunk driving accident. Coupled with the fact that Jones said earlier this year, following allegations of a sexual assault by defensive back C.J. Spillman, that the Cowboys don’t become really concerned until a player is actually charged with a crime, it seems logical that Jones would be willing to pull the trigger on the most physically talented player left on the board here, wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham.

The 6-foot-6, 225-pound former Missouri wideout has the physical tools to be the next Calvin Johnson. Teams may feel like he’ll be exempt from the Ray Rice backlash since he was never charged with a crime, but with two arrests for marijuana possession and spring 2014 allegations involving him pushing a woman down a set of stairs which resulted in his dismissal from Mizzou, he’s definitely a risky pick.

However, Dallas may need to take risks this offseason. Bryant is a free agent this offseason, and even if he re-signs, the Cowboys could stand to further upgrade their receiving corps. Heading into the 2014 season, it would have been difficult to imagine Dallas addressing an offensive position in the first round of this year’s draft with all their defensive deficiencies, but after getting a surprisingly high level of production out of their entire defense in 2014, the only position which really could use an upgrade is defensive tackle. The Cowboys have the luxury of upgrading on offense here and prolonging their status as a contender for the next few years.
