28. Denver Broncos- Cameron Erving, OL, Florida State
Denver doesn’t have a whole lot of areas to address at the moment, though if they fail to re-sign any of their numerous impactful free agents, including Julius Thomas, Demaryius Thomas, Orlando Franklin, and Terrance Knighton, this offseason, that could end up changing. For now we’ll assume that they bring at least three of those four players back, which allows them to upgrade their offensive line depth with the addition of FSU’s Cam Erving.
Erving can be plugged in at any of the five offensive line spots, though his most impactful position is center, where he started the latter portion of the 2014 schedule for the Seminoles and thrived. The 6-foot-6, 308-pounder would be an upgrade over Will Montgomery or Manny Ramirez at center, though he could also be plugged in at guard to start his career if Denver elects to stick with either of those two players up the middle. Ultimately, the greatest asset that Erving will provide is stability, as his presence will prevent the Broncos from having to move around players like Ramirez and Louis Vasquez like they did during 2014.
