RD4. Kramer Robertson, SS, LSU

While Robertson will probably get the most notoriety early on for his name from Cardinals fans who also enjoy Seinfeld, he’s an exceptionally safe pick–as nearly all college shortstops are. Since most college clubs plug in their most skilled defensive player at short, it’s almost always a given that those players will end up being at least serviceable at another position, even if they’re not skilled enough to play short in the majors. It doesn’t hurt that Robertson seems to have some legitimate skill at the plate, as he hit .319/.421/.504 with eight homers this season for LSU in the SEC, college baseball’s most competitive conference.
