Yes, the Cardinals already have quite a bit of intriguing young outfield depth with guys like Stephen Piscotty, Randal Grichuk, Harrison Bader, Magneuris Sierra, and Nick Plummer. Seeing as the Cards have been reduced to playing Piscotty in center field and regularly starting second-tier players like Brandon Moss and Jeremy Hazelbaker this season, though, it should be quite obvious that an organization can never have enough good outfielders.

For this reason, the switch-hitting Reynolds could be an option for the Cardinals. The 6-foot-4, 215-pounder is considered a defensively-sound center fielder, and he’s obviously got some strong all-around offensive ability, as he hit .330/.461/.603 with 13 homers and 57 RBI during his junior season. With as polished of a hitter as he appears to be, he could quickly advance through the minors, just as college players like Piscotty and Bader recently have. Jim Callis mentioned him as a possibility for the Cardinals at pick 23.
