According to the St. Louis Rams’ relocation statement, owner Stan Kroenke has made “significant investments” in the on-field product but has not received any support from the fanbase for these improvements. Is he really justified in making that claim?

In the all-out assault on the city of St. Louis that was released in the form of the Rams’ formal relocation request, spearheaded by owner Stan Kroenke and COO Kevin Demoff, on Tuesday night, the organization makes reference to “significant investments” that have been made in the football product since Kroenke took over controlling interest of the team in August 2010. Despite the wonderful attempts that Kroenke, Demoff, and their hired football minds Les Snead and Jeff Fisher, have made at putting together a competitive football organization, they say, the St. Louis community has not backed these efforts with strong attendance figures. Thus, it must be the fans’ fault that the Rams have put together a 35-58-1 record since Kroenke took over as the principal owner, giving the fanbase little reason other than a continued sense of obligation to attend Rams games Sunday after Sunday.

With this claim, which is quite frankly bogus if analyzed with any measurement tool besides dollar signs, Kroenke’s  So in the owner’s honor, we thought it would be appropriate to rank the 12 most questionable “significant investments” that Kroenke has made or approved since he took over as the primary owner. If you’re a long-discouraged Rams fan, you may want to shield your eyes, as the following memories are not pleasant ones.
