St. Louis Rams Mock Draft: Projecting All of the Team’s Picks in the 2015 NFL Draft

Round 2, Pick 9 (41st overall) Bryce Petty, QB, Baylor
Though there’s been increased chatter about the Baylor signal-caller being selected at the tail end of the first round, there’s still a decent change that he will fall to the second, and if he does, it would give the Rams a chance to find, at best, their starter of the future and, at worst, a reliable backup for Nick Foles. Petty has a nice release, a great deep ball, and has shown the ability to make the most challenging of throws. He needs to improve his footwork (which is particularly concerning considering that he spent his college career in a spread offense), while he also needs to become more consistently accurate on short and medium throws. If Petty can receive some quality coaching, though, he should be ready to assume a starting role in a year or two.
