2015 NFL Mock Draft: Post-Super Bowl Edition

30. Green Bay Packers- Jordan Phillips, DT, Oklahoma
As has been standard procedure over most of the past decade, Green Bay is picking near the bottom of the first round and doesn’t have major needs to address. With that said, the Packers could stand to bolster their defensive line depth. Nose tackle B.J. Raji has fallen off over the past few years and missed the entire 2014 season due to injury, and his replacement, Letroy Guion, is an unrestricted free agent this offseason. In addition, they already lack consistency at the right end position with former first-rounder Datone Jones having underwhelmed during his first two seasons.
They bolster their depth here by selecting Oklahoma’s Jordan Phillips. The 6-foot-6, 334-pounder is athletic and talented enough as a pass rusher that he could contribute at any of the three line positions in a 3-4 defense, and Green Bay could plug him in either at nose or in place of Jones. There are some questions about his long-term durability since he had a serious back injury that ended his 2013 season and required surgery, but if he can stay healthy, he should be a disruptive player on Green Bay’s interior.
