25. Carolina Panthers- Ereck Flowers, OT, Miami (FL)

Though Carolina finally found a bit of stability at the tackle position when they plugged in former Rams practice squad tackle Mike Remmers on the right side and saw him succeed, the position was a catastrophe for most of the season, and they still need to find a viable solution on the left side. 2014 starter Byron Bell is an unrestricted free agent, and he wasn’t very good at covering the blind side anyway, being responsible for a total of nine sacks in 15 games according to Pro Football Focus.

Flowers gives Carolina their best chance of solidifying the left tackle spot at pick 25. At 6-foot-6 and 324 pounds, he has prototypical left tackle size, and he’s very adept at taking proper angles and protecting the edge in pass protection. He needs to make significant improvements as a run defender, which will include fixing his three-point stance and working to keep his feet moving consistently and drive into blocks, but with his established ability as a pass blocker and potential in all areas, he’s too good of a prospect for Carolina to ignore here.
