2015 NFL Mock Draft: Post-Super Bowl Edition

23. Detroit Lions- Malcom Brown, DT, Texas
There’s a good chance that the Lions could lose both of their starting defensive tackles, Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley, in free agency, and they’ll need to retool at the position since they rely so heavily on an interior pass rush for defensive success. Malcom Brown is one of the best interior pass-rushers in the class, and though he’s a bit on the short side at just 6-foot-2, he has a great burst off the line of scrimmage and also is athletic enough to be active in pursuit and defend the run.
He should be able to provide a jolt to Detroit’s defense in short order, though obviously it would be beneficial for him to get either Suh or Fairley back alongside him to deflect some of the double-teams that otherwise might end up coming his way.
