2015 NFL Mock Draft: Post-Super Bowl Edition

22. Pittsburgh Steelers- Maxx Williams, TE, Minnesota
Though he is relatively inexperienced (a redshirt sophomore with just 61 college catches to his name), Minnesota’s Maxx Williams is clearly the best tight end in this class and will be an effective weapon in the NFL in short order. With Pittsburgh’s Heath Miller preparing to turn 33 years old during the 2015 season, it’s time for the Steelers to start preparing for the future at the position, especially since Miller is currently the Steelers’ only tight end under contract.
Williams will be an ideal fit with the Steelers and should be able to contribute right away, even with Miller on the field, as he has experience playing the H-Back position at Minnesota and could be utilized in the same way that David Johnson was used in Pittsburgh. He’s a high-effort run blocker and is a very reliable receiver who will provide Ben Roethlisberger with another powerful weapon.
