15. San Francisco 49ers- Trae Waynes, CB, Michigan State

San Francisco has struggled to find consistency at the cornerback position ever since Carlos Rogers’ prime ended. Particularly with Chris Culliver, their best performer at the position in 2014, set to hit the free agent market, San Francisco could stand to upgrade in the secondary. Waynes is a rangy player with quality length and drive, though he lacks strength and will be a liability in press coverage until he bulks up a bit. Waynes won’t be ready to be an impactful contributor as quickly as P.J. Williams and likely even Quinten Rollins, but he’s a high-ceiling player who can be a very good starting corner in the NFL going forward.
