2014 NHL Draft: Experts React to Blues’ Selection of Robby Fabbri

The St. Louis Blues selected 18-year-old center Robby Fabbri on Friday night with the 21st overall pick in the 2014 NHL Draft. Plenty of NHL media members weighed in on Twitter with reaction to the pick.
*The irony of this one is that Fabbri never won a Memorial Cup, as it was an inaccuracy on Pang’s part that he later corrected.
I touched base with #stlblues director of amateur scouting Bill Armstrong and here's what he had to say about the team's pick, Robby Fabbri
— Jeremy Rutherford (@jprutherford) June 28, 2014
Armstrong: "He's kind of a like a hybrid between Oshie and Schwartz, he's on that puck. Sometimes he's too fearless but he comes to battle."

More from Bill Armstrong: "That's one thing we just love about him. You don't find that many guys of his skill level that like to compete."

#stlblues wanted a player who can fill the scoresheet. Fabri is a scorer

Love the Robby Fabbri pick to STL. Not often you get an OHL Playoff MVP at #21. Undersized but competitive. #1 C on 2nd best CHL team.

Fabbri will have to put on size before making it to the NHL. He's under six foot and might be 175 soaking wet. Needs to fill out. #NHLDraft

Don't get me wrong, Sobotka is a hell of a player, but doesn't fit into a top-6. Fabbri will in a few years #stlblues

Mark Seidel, scout with NA Central Scouting, told http://t.co/AGJdQWT9vh this about Fabbri: “He’s got star written all over him." #StlBlues
