Blues Select Robby Fabbri with First Round Pick in 2014 NHL Draft

The St. Louis Blues have selected center Robby Fabbri with the 21st selection in the 2014 NHL Draft. The 5-foot-10, 170-poumd 18-year-old had 45 goals and 42 assists for Guelph of the OHL in 2013-14.

Fabbri gives the Blues some needed organizational depth at forward, which they were lacking in a bit already but decreased even further when they traded one of their top forward prospects, William Carrier, as part of the package that brought Ryan Miller to St. Louis this past spring. He joins Dmitrij Jaskin and Ty Rattie as some of the organization’s top forward prospects.
