Teddy Bridgewater

Pros: He is an elite quarterback who can make all the throws. He can throw downfield with accuracy and he can make the throws under pressure. He will play in the NFL for years to come.

Cons: You can say he played against weak competition but many NFL quarterbacks played against weak competition yet are great NFL quarterbacks.

Outlook

This is the guy the Rams should select. There are countless times where the Rams selected someone else instead of an elite quarterback. RG3 in 2012, Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco in 2008, the list goes on. I understand wanting to give Sam Bradford all the help he needs but it’s been 4 seasons. When he is healthy, he is average at best. In his two full seasons, he has a TD/INT ratio of 1.4 to 1. That’s not going to get it done in the NFL. Sam Bradford is owed $16 million dollars in 2014. Through 3 years in his career, his career path is similar to Mark Sanchez and Tim Couch. Teddy Bridgewater would be cheap and create some much needed competition at the Quarterback position. I would love this pick for the Rams.
