The St. Louis Rams were blown out by the Dallas Cowboys 31-7 Sunday afternoon. Here is a few of my thoughts:
– This game was over in the first quarter when the St. Louis Rams once again couldn’t stop Demarco Murray. I said in my preview this week that Demarco Murray would be a player to watch in this game and he proved me right. For some reason, the Cowboys can just run the ball at will on the St. Louis Rams. Demarco Murray once again tore apart the Rams.
– Sam Bradford had a decent day throwing the football but the offensive line couldn’t keep him upright. Sam Bradford was sacked 6 times for a loss of 43 yards. Just a poor performance by the offensive line. I could give them the benefit of the doubt because Rodger Saffold wasn’t active today but 6 sacks? C’mon man.
– The rushing game needs an answer. 35 yards rushing isn’t going to get it done in the NFL. The Rams might have to try out Willis McGahee or trade for a running back because if the Rams are going to get anywhere in the NFC West this year, they must find a running game.
The Rams have a quick turnaround playing Thursday night against the San Francisco 49ers.
