With the absence of Yadier Molina and with their backs against the wall, the St. Louis Cardinals find offense again as they beatdown the Cincinnati Reds 13-3. Shelby Miller gets his 11th win of the season while Bronson Arroyo fails to 9-9 on the season.

Daniel Descalso had long ball fever for the Cardinals tonight hitting 2 home runs. While they were both solo home runs, it’s still good to see some production from the 8th spot in the lineup. Carlos Beltran didn’t drive in any runs but was 3 for 3 and each time he was on base, he was driven in scoring 4 runs. Allen Craig also went 3 for 3 with a home run an 3 runs batted in. The Cardinals were patience all night drawing 8 walks.

Shelby Miller didn’t have the best night pitching only 5 innings and giving up 3 earned runs. Luckily for him, Bronson Arroyo was just awful going only 3.2 innings and giving up 7 earned runs.

The St. Louis Cardinals will try to keep winning as they are only 0.5 game back of the NL Central lead when they play the Reds tomorrow at 6:10pm central.
