The St. Louis Rams will begin training camp on July 25th, Arch Authority will breakdown key position groups and battles that will define the 2013 St. Louis Rams. Today we will breakdown the Offensive line.

Starters: Jake Long (projected), Shelly Smith, Scott Wells, Harvey Dahl, Rodger Saffold.

Reserves: Barrett Jones (rookie), Joe Barksdale, Brandon Washington, Ty Nsekhe, Ryan Lee, Terrell Brown (rookie), Tim Barnes, Braden Brown (rookie)

Outlook:

The Rams are looking to cut down on the number of sacks that Sam Bradford has to take. Sam Bradford was sacked 35 times last year for an average of over 2 sacks allowed per game. That was good enough to be ranked 14th in the NFL. The Rams added free agent Jake Long who is a 4 time pro bowler to help bring the St. Louis Rams closer to the top of the league in least sack allowed. The runnign game will also benefit from Jake Long’s presence on the offensive line. The offensive line is pretty stable and I expect them to make huge strides in 2013.
