Bowers, the rare Canadian player who moved to the United States to play junior hockey in the USHL, is a disciplined two-way center who has the potential to be a special offensive contributor. In the USHL, a league that isn’t set up for players to put up prolific offensive numbers like the Canadian junior leagues are, Bowers collected an impressive 22 goals and 29 assists in 60 games.
