The Blues-Predators series will get underway at Scottrade Center on Wednesday.

Shortly after the Washington Capitals edged out the Nashville Predators in overtime, earning the final spot in the second round of the 2017 NHL playoffs, the league announced the schedule for the second round. The St. Louis Blues’ series with the Nashville Predators will begin on Wednesday at Scottrade Center, with a 7:00 PM scheduled start time.

Game 2 takes place on Friday at Scottrade, with the series shifting to Bridgestone Arena in Nashville for Games 3 and 4 on Sunday at 2:00 PM and Tuesday, May 2 at 8:30 PM, respectively.

If necessary, Game 5 will take place in St. Louis on Friday, May 5, with Game 6 scheduled for Sunday, May 7 and Game 7 set for Tuesday, May 9. Start times for the “if necessary” games haven’t been announced yet.

The Predators won the series between the two teams this season, taking three of the five games while outscoring the Blues 15-11. One of the meetings between the two teams, which took place on December 13 in Nashville, was arguably one of the low points of the Blues’ season, as they went up 3-0 on goals from Kevin Shattenkirk, Ryan Reaves, and Brad Hunt but then gave up six unanswered goals over the final 36 minutes.

On the bright side, though, the Blues emerged victorious in the teams’ most recent meeting, winning 4-1 in a late-season matchup on April 2. The Blues also finished ahead of the Predators in the Central Division, edging them out 99-95 in the points battle and locking up the third spot in the division. Obviously, that provides them with home-ice advantage in this round.
