What was the most memorable sports storyline that played out in St. Louis this year?

If we’re being truthful, the moment from 2016 that most St. Louis sports fans will probably remember the longest was the Rams’ decision to relocate to Los Angeles, which came on January 12 and kicked off a year that wasn’t exactly a happy one on the St. Louis sports scene. With that said, there were still quite a few memorable events of a more positive nature that took place throughout the year, and we want to pay tribute to those events with our annual Arch Award for the Best St. Louis Sports Storyline.

This award will go to the storyline that inspired the most excitement and positive emotion during the 2016 calendar year and will live on most prominently in St. Louis sports history. (Notice the word “positive”…we’ll try to collectively block out the Rams’ departure.)
