The Cardinals are right in the thick of things in the NL Wild Card Race heading down the stretch.

Over the past few weeks, the Cardinals have been chasing down the San Fransisco Giants and New York Mets for one of the final two Wild Card spots. The teams have been trading places constantly as no one has been able to put a solid string of wins together to pull away.

The Cardinals only managed to win one game out of three in Wrigley against the Cubs during their last series, but neither the Giants nor Mets took full advantage of it, as St. Louis still only sits a half game behind San Fransisco as of today. With the Reds coming to town next, followed by the Pirates, the Cardinals are in a good position to take control of this race.

However, if they do claim a Wild Card berth, there’s a big question to be answered: Who’s on the mound?
