Chiefs 24 (2-1), Jets 3 (1-2)

For as well as I predicted the Colts and Chargers game, this one went the complete opposite direction. I (likely along with a few others) figured that the Jets’ offense would for the most part keep rolling, or at least play well enough for it to be a close game at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.  That was not the case. The Chiefs defense forced EIGHT turnovers, six of those being interceptions thrown by Ryan Fitzpatrick. Yes you read that right, six interceptions (6 – there’s the number if that helps you grasp it a little better). The Kansas City defense also held Matt Forte to an underwhelming 65 yards and, most importantly, kept him out of the end zone. Alex Smith played very efficiently, completing 75 percent of his passes with a 105.2 passer rating while also throwing for a touchdown. Travis Kelce was his favorite target as usual, catching six passes for 89 yards and hauling in the lone touchdown pass. If the Chiefs defense can play half as good as they did Sunday and the offense can take care of the football consistently, I see them keeping pace with the Denver Broncos for the top spot in the AFC West.
