Jordan Harold

While it’d be pretty safe to assume that Jordan Harold won’t be the most dynamic new addition to Mizzou’s roster this year, he does provide the most intrigue at the moment, just because he’s a walk-on who has been given a starting opportunity. Harold, who attended McCluer North High School in St. Louis and began his collegiate career at Northwest Missouri State before transferring to Mizzou last year, earned the opportunity to fight for a starting spot after star defensive end Walter Brady was dismissed from the program at the start of fall practice.

He beat out players like Marcell Frazier–who began the season as a starter a year ago–along with Nate Howard, Spencer Williams, and Josh Moore, to name a few. At 6-foot-2 and 265 pounds, Harold looks like he could be a strong fit for Mizzou’s new stay-at-home, contain-oriented scheme, and it will be interesting to see how he performs in his first Division I game on Saturday.
