Stan Musial, 1955 and 1956

Schoendienst’s game-winner was a definitive moment in Cardinals All-Star Game history, but Stan Musial may have one-upped him with his performances in 1955 and 1956. In ’55, Musial went 1-for-4, but his one hit was the most meaningful of all, as he hit a walk-off solo homer in the 12th inning to give the NL a 6-5 win.

In 1956, Musial again went 1-for-4 with a homer, driving a solo blast to deep left center to put the NL up 5-3, helping to ice a game that they’d go on to win 7-3.
