Throughout the long history of the MLB All-Star Game, plenty of St. Louis Cardinals players have delivered standout performances.

As one of baseball’s oldest franchises, the St. Louis Cardinals have a rich history with the annual Midsummer Classic, which will take place on Tuesday evening, with shortstop Aledmys Diaz being the Cardinals’ sole representative this year (Matt Carpenter was named to the initial roster, but was forced to withdraw after suffering an oblique strain last week). In past years, Cardinals have hit game-winning home runs, made impactful starts, and collected saves to help out the National League. We’ll see if Diaz can deliver a similar performance for the ages on Tuesday.
