10 First-Round NHL Draft Prospects Who Could Interest the St. Louis Blues
Whether the St. Louis Blues stick at pick 28 in the first round of the NHL Draft or move up, here are 10 players who could pique their interest on Friday.

With that said, the organization is facing the possibility of a major youth movement over the next couple years as a large chunk of its veteran core hits free agency, so it’s definitely important to have as much depth as possible. The Blues have a first-round pick this year, which is better than can be said for most years as of late–they went without one in 2011, 2013, and 2015–but they’re currently slotted to pick 28th, so it’s unlikely that they’re going to have a surefire NHL star fall into their laps.
On the following slides, we’re going to take a look at some players who could be of interest to the Blues in the first round. There’s been prominent talk about the Blues moving up in the first round of this year’s draft, so we’re also going to look at a few prospects who are likely to be gone by pick 28 but could interest them earlier on if they happen to trade up.
Without further ado, here are 10 prospects who could be candidates for the Blues in the first round of Friday’s NHL Draft:
