5. Tre Williams, DE

Williams, a 6-foot-5, 235-pounder from nearby Rock Bridge high school in Columbia, was ranked as a four-star prospect and the 15th-best defensive end prospect in the nation by Rivals. That upside, coupled with the fact that Mizzou is returning only five scholarship defensive ends, could give Williams an opportunity to break into the Tigers’ defensive line rotation in 2016. Obviously the Mizzou football program is going to be completely different under Barry Odom, but with Gary Pinkel as the head coach and Craig Kuligowski as the defensive line coach, the Tigers weren’t at all afraid to work pass rushers into the mix as true freshmen. Defensive end Nate Howard and defensive tackles Terry Beckner, Jr. and Josh Moore both saw significant action in their respective first years on campus in 2015. Perhaps Williams will be in position to do the same this fall.
