T.J. Zeuch, RHP, Pittsburgh

Zeuch, a 6-foot-7, 225-pounder with a mid-90s fastball, is a hulking righthander in the same physical mold as Michael Wacha and Adam Wainwright. He also throws a slider, curveball, and changeup, meaning that he’ll have a great chance of sticking in the rotation as he rises through the minors. Zeuch probably needs more work than some of the other college pitchers that the Cardinals have taken lately, including Wacha, Marco Gonzales, and Luke Weaver, but he might have superior upside. Zeuch, who was 6-1 with a 3.10 ERA and .229 opponent average this season, was mocked to the Cardinals in the most recent mock draft from MLB Pipeline’s Jim Callis.
