St. Louis Blues Hope to Avoid Elimination in Game 6 vs. San Jose Sharks
Blues Lineup
The biggest news concerning the Blues’ Game 6 lineup is that Brian Elliott will return to the net that he occupied for the Blues’ first 17 playoff games. Seeing as Ken Hitchcock has made lineup changes following every loss during this series, though, it’s reasonable to expect that there will be a position player swap or two, also.
The Blues’ fourth line of Magnus Paajarvi, Kyle Brodziak, and Dmitrij Jaskin has performed well, but it’s most likely that it will be the group that changes on Wednesday. Coach Ken Hitchcock will likely be looking to add more physicality to the lineup, and for that reason, Ryan Reaves or Steve Ott could be inserted into the lineup, likely replacing Jaskin. Scottie Upshall, who played in the first 16 games of this postseason, could also return and would likely displace Paajarvi from the lineup.
Here’s what the Blues’ lineup could look like for Game 6:
Robby Fabbri–Jori Lehtera–Vladimir Tarasenko
Jaden Schwartz-Patrik Berglund–David Backes
Alexander Steen–Paul Stastny–Troy Brouwer
Magnus Paajarvi–Kyle Brodziak–Ryan Reaves
Jay Bouwmeester–Alex Pietrangelo
Joel Edmundson-Kevin Shattenkirk
Carl Gunnarsson–Colton Parayko
Brian Elliott
