Blues Hope to Take 2-1 Lead Over Dallas Stars as Series Shifts to St. Louis
As the St. Louis Blues come home to Scottrade Center on Tuesday, they’ll attempt to take a 2-1 series lead over the Dallas Stars.
The St. Louis Blues return home to Scottrade Center on Tuesday night, tied 1-1 with the Dallas Stars in a heated battle to advance to the Western Conference Finals. After a Game 1 in Dallas that lacked intensity or offensive firepower from the Blues, the Note was able to rebound to an extent in Sunday’s Game 2, recovering from a blown 3-1 lead to defeat the Stars 4-3 in overtime. Considering the even (5-5) scoring differential this postseason and the 13-10 differential that the teams had during five regular season games, it’s quite clear that this is going to be a closely-contested series, so things should be interesting on Tuesday as the Blues welcome the Stars to Scottrade.
It’s debatable how much of a home ice advantage the Blues have actually had this postseason–they’re 2-2 at Scottrade Center, compared to 3-2 on the road–but it never hurts to be in the comfort of your own facilities with the crowd on your side. For the record, the Blues were a perfect 3-0 against Dallas at Scottrade Center during the regular season, though two of those games were decided after the conclusion of regulation.
