St. Louis Blues Open Second Round Series Against Dallas Stars, Look to Continue Dominance
Blues Lineup
The Blues are expected to stick with the same lineup that they used for Game 7 of the Blackhawks series for Friday’s second-round opener. The only possible change would come if Scottie Upshall, who didn’t practice on Thursday after appearing to sustain an upper-body injury during Game 7, was for some reason unable to play, despite Ken Hitchcock’s assurance that he would be. In that case, Ryan Reaves would likely play in his place. Reaves could actually be valuable against Dallas if called upon, considering that he scored one of his three goals against them (after which he did his famed dabbing celebration) on December 12. Casting aside the emotion surrounding Steve Ott facing his former team, Reaves might actually match up better against Dallas than Ott does, so it should be interesting to see if they’re swapped at any point in this series.
Here’s how Friday’s lineup is expected to look:
Jaden Schwartz–Jori Lehtera–Vladimir Tarasenko
Alexander Steen-Paul Stastny–Troy Brouwer
Robby Fabbri–Patrik Berglund–David Backes
Scottie Upshall–Kyle Brodziak–Steve Ott
Jay Bouwmeester–Alex Pietrangelo
Joel Edmundson-Kevin Shattenkirk
Carl Gunnarsson-Colton Parayko
