St Louis FC: 2016 Schedule Released
St Louis FC’s first year in the Western Conference begins March 26.
The 2016 St Louis FC schedule has been released. Due to the move from the Eastern Conference to the West, the schedule is full of very different matchups than the 2015 schedule. In 2015, STLFC had a 8-11-9 record overall, but their performance against the West was rosier; against Western Conference teams, St Louis went 2-1-1.
To temper your expectations, the club avoided having to play teams such as the Los Angeles Galaxy II, who reached the USL final. The club did, however, defeat and tie OKC Energy FC on two separate occasions; OKC was second in the Western Conference during the regular season.
There are many highlights to this year’s schedule. The journey begins March 26th with an away match against Real Monarchs SLC, and the club faces cross-staters Swope Park Rangers three times, including two home matches on May 7 and August 3. Their first home match is April 16 against Tulsa Roughnecks FC. The club beat Tulsa 2-0 in last year’s opening match.

Most of the 2015 roster returns for this year, including F Bryan Gaul. Gaul scored the most goals of any player on the team with four.
