29. Zach Wiegert, OL, Round 2, Pick 38 Overall, 1995

Like Fitzpatrick, Wiegert is a player that had a fantastic NFL career, but didn’t have his best pro success in a Rams uniform. With that said, he was a dependable starter with the Rams from 1996 to 1998. After starting all 16 games and serving as the Rams’ right tackle in ’96, Wiegert moved inside to right guard for his next two years in St. Louis, starting 28 games over that span. The Rams let him go before 1999 as they signed Adam Timmerman to play right guard, but Wiegert, who was 26 years old at the time, went on to have a very successful career in his own right, despite missing out on the Rams’ Super Bowl success that year. Wiegert, who is ranked 15th all-time in approximate value among St. Louis Rams draftees, ended up playing eight more seasons for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans, starting 96 games. With as many problems as the Rams have had drafting at the guard position, Wiegert is almost certainly the best guard the team has ever drafted.
