Who was the most impressive St. Louis athlete who took his game to new heights during 2015?

St. Louis sports fans may choose to look at 2015 as a down year due to the fact that neither the Cardinals or Blues made it past the first round of the playoffs, while Mizzou football and basketball, SLU basketball, and presumably the Rams have all failed to advance to postseason action. Looking at the glass half-full, however, 2015 has been a great year to see emerging young talent across the St. Louis sports scene. A massive injury outbreak for the Cardinals, a decision by the Blues to move forward with somewhat of a youth movement, a continuance of the Rams’ perpetual rebuild, a fairly large exodus of Mizzou football talent to the NFL (and the in-season suspension of quarterback Maty Mauk), as well as full-scale restocking efforts by the Mizzou and SLU basketball teams, have afforded us the opportunity to watch plenty of emerging young athletes during the course of the year.

With this in mind, there are plenty of candidates who could be considered for our Rising Star Arch Award, which is to be awarded to the rookie who made the most profound impact on their team during the 2015 calendar year. Please read through the next few slides to see which candidates were nominated for the honor, and vote for the most deserving nominee at the end of the slideshow.
