St. Louis Blues: Robby Fabbri to Return, Kevin Shattenkirk Still Out for Tomorrow vs Tampa Bay Lightning
By Sammy Stava
There was a good chance that forward Robby Fabbri and defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk would be back in the lineup for the St. Louis Blues for tomorrow’s game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. It appears that only Fabbri will return as he has recovered from his concussion, which he suffered in the second game of the season. Fabbri missed a total of six full games and the Blues were 4-1-1 without him in the lineup. Shattenkirk is still out with a groin injury and may need a couple of more days.
The lines in today’s practice were:
Alexander Steen – Jori Lehtera – Vladimir Tarasenko
Scottie Upshall – David Backes – Dmitrij Jaskin
Robby Fabbri – Scott Gomez – Troy Brouwer
Steve Ott – Kyle Brodziak – Ryan Reaves
(Ty Rattie was an extra skater)
Defenseman pairs were:
Jay Bouwmeester – Alex Pietrangelo
Carl Gunnarsson – Kevin Shattenkirk
Joel Edmundson – Colton Parayko
Chris Butler – Robert Bortuzzo
Stay tuned for any changes for tomorrow’s morning skate.
Jake Allen will get the start tomorrow night as Brian Elliott was out sick for today’s practice. The Blues are hopeful Elliott will return to practice tomorrow.
Both the Blues (5-2-1, 11 points) and the Lightning (5-2-2, 12 points) are coming off overtime losses on Saturday night, gaining one point. St. Louis fell 3-2 at home to the New York Islanders while Tampa Bay lost 1-0 on the road to the Chicago Blackhawks.
