St Louis Rams: Notes From the Last Week

St Louis Rams notes from 10/17-10/23
The St Louis Rams have a game against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, and it has been a busy week after the bye week for St Louis. The proposed St Louis riverfront stadium is gaining steam with the financing plans being released, and the injury report has been very strange with many Rams showing up on it out of nowhere. Here are the notes from the previous week.

It appears that cornerback Janoris Jenkins will test free agency. A deal between Jenkins and St Louis was not struck before the season began, and since a new deal wouldn’t be worked out until the seasons end anyway, Jenkins might test the waters and gain offers from different teams. The Rams fan base is half and half on how they feel about Jenkins play, but head coach Jeff Fisher is very high on him.
The financing for the proposed riverfront stadium in St Louis has been released. The City would have to pay six million a year towards the one billion dollar stadium. The Mayor’s office as committed 150 million for construction and planning cost. The plan is gaining steam as being one of the best financial plans for any stadium in the history of the NFL.
There is a meeting being held in St Louis by the NFL for a public hearing regarding the possible move to Los Angeles. The meeting is being held on Tuesday October 27th, and has already sold out. There will likely be many more outside as well. This meeting is supposed to give St Louis natives a chance to have their voice heard.

The Rams injury report had a few big names come up on it Wednesday. Running back Tre Mason, wide receiver Tavon Austin, defensive end Robert Quinn, and tight end Lance Kendricks all did not participate in Wednesday’s practice, which is a real surprise coming after a bye week where no one was injured coming into practice this week. There is no information on if any of these players will miss Sunday’s game or not.
The Rams offensive line has been moved around once again. With Rodger Saffold being out for the remainder of the season, Garrett Reynolds has been moved into the left guard spot, moving rookie Jamon Brown back to right guard next to Havenstein. It seems very strange to move Brown back over after he was just settling in at left guard, but maybe Fisher sees something we don’t.
The Rams will take on the Cleveland Browns this Sunday at home.
