Missouri Tigers vs. Florida Gators: Start Time, Live Stream, TV Info and More

The Missouri Tigers look to keep their short winning streak going on Saturday as they host the 5-0 Florida Gators at Faurot Field. After a shaky first four weeks with junior Maty Mauk under center, the Tigers looked much better last week in their 24-10 defeat of South Carolina, as true freshman Drew Lock made his first start at quarterback with Mauk suspended.

Mauk’s ban has lasted into this week, despite the fact that the player he was suspended with, backup offensive lineman Malik Cuellar, returned to the team. Lock will get his second collegiate start and look to continue build upon his positive performance from last week, in which he completed 21 of 28 passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns.

More from Missouri Tigers

Despite their rich history of football success, Florida has actually been one of the SEC opponents who Mizzou has played the best against since joining the conference in 2012. After a tightly-contested 14-7 loss at the swamp in 2012, Mizzou has won two straight games against the Gators, beating them 36-17 in one of their most impressive SEC victories to date in 2013, then blowing them out 42-13 despite throwing for only 20 yards and rushing for 99 last season.

Obviously the Tigers will be looking for more offense this time around, as four touchdowns from defense and special teams (all from players who are no longer on the team) boosted Mizzou to victory in 2014. If running back Russell Hansbrough can continue his gradual return to form following a high ankle sprain, which was supported by a season-best 11 rushes for 43 yards last week, the Tigers should be able to combine their improving passing game with a solid rushing attack to stick it to the Gators offensively, then smother Florida on the defensive side.
