Todd Gurley got his first taste of the NFL last week. It wasn’t as exciting as fans had hoped it would be, as Gurley rushed six times for nine yards. This was not his fault however, as the offensive line was terrible in his debut. Regardless, the Rams need to get him the ball more. Whether it be from screen passes, or draws, the Rams need to give Gurley an opportunity to succeed. It only takes one run, or one big play down the field for a running back to gain that confidence. If Gurley can break a run out, or take a screen 50+ yards, you will likely see a huge boost in his performance from there on out. There isn’t a secret formula for making it happen, just hand him the ball.
