St. Louis Rams vs. Pittsburgh Steelers: Staff Predictions

twitterfacebookreddit

Every week here at Arch Authority, our staff likes to take a guess at how the St. Louis Rams will perform on Sunday. We haven’t had too much luck so far this season, going a combined 1-5 on our predictions to start the year, but here’s to hoping we do better in Week 3.

Here’s how our staff thinks the Rams’ matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers will play out on Sunday:

Patrick Karraker (0-2): “Considering my luck with predictions so far, you might as well count on the opposite of what I forecast happening, but in my mind, the Rams will have difficulty taking down Pittsburgh. With Le’Veon Bell returning, it will provide an element of unpredictability to the Steelers’ rushing attack that could allow them to dominate the Rams’ already inconsistent run defense. The Rams should be able to move the ball alright, but I think Pittsburgh’s offense wins out in a spirited battle.”

Sammy Stava (0-0): “It’s only Week 3, but with the letdown last week against the Redskins and at Arizona/Green Bay looming, this feels like a must win game for the Rams as they can’t afford to fall in a 1-4 hole. This is an inconsistent team, so it wouldn’t surprise me if they happen to get a big win after a bad loss. If Todd Gurley (game-time decision) plays Sunday, he could give the Rams some big momentum going forward. It should be a close game and a good one at the Dome.”

Nic Moody (1-1)“The Rams showed last week that they still have a lot of issues. Going against a tough team like the Steelers will most likely prove to be too much. Expect the Rams to improve, though.”

Final. 27. 55. 17. 51

Paul Lamb (0-2)“It could be another season where the Rams play to the level of their opponent, which was evident in Week 1’s surprise win against the Seahawks, and last week’s dismal Redskins loss. That being said, this one should be close. LeVeon Bell coming back will be the X-factor. Rams come up one or two plays short.”
