Running Back: D

I was able to look past the rushing woes in week one. The Rams were facing a tough Seattle team with a completely new offensive line, all while the first and second string running backs (Todd Gurley and Tre Mason) were both injured and unable to play. This past Sunday, however, was nothing short of an extremely lackluster effort on the ground game. The Rams running back squad managed under four yards a carry and only rushed for 26 total yards. It was not all their fault, as 90% of the blame falls on the offensive line, but it’s a relationship that ties in with the running back position. It’s sad that in order to obtain any rushing yards, the Rams have to give the ball to Tavon Austin on jet sweeps in order to run around the offensive line.
