4. Mark Barron

Barron, who definitely made his mark on the Rams’ defense over the second half of 2014, continued to showcase himself as an extremely important “jack of all trades” on Sunday. Despite the fact that Akeem Ayers started at strongside linebacker, Barron actually seemed to get the most action at the position, and he also stepped up as the nickelback for a while for the period during which Trumaine Johnson and Lamarcus Joyner were sidelined with injuries.

Barron’s greatest value seems to be as a blitzer, where he helped Lamarcus Joyner record a sack on Sunday. He was credited with five tackles and a quarterback hit, and he gave the Rams’ defense a noticeable lift. Barron might not be credited as an official starter, but when he’s used properly he’s capable of being one of the Rams’ most exciting players.
