St. Louis Cardinals: Which Players Will Join the Roster in September?

Matt Belisle, RHP

Belisle, a key member of the bullpen earlier this season before being sidelined with elbow inflammation, is expected to rejoin the club for the stretch run. The veteran righthander, who had a 3.00 ERA and 1.53 WHIP over 30 innings, has been throwing bullpen sessions lately and threw 30 pitches off a mound on Friday. He’ll likely need a short rehab assignment before rejoining the major-league team, but as long as everything goes well, Belisle will likely be back in September and could be an option for the postseason bullpen.
