St. Louis Cardinals: Which Players Will Join the Roster in September?

Grichuk, a serious NL Rookie of the Year candidate before suffering an elbow strain in mid-August, may be back by early September and would step back into a major role in the Cardinals’ lineup. Tommy Pham has done a great job of holding down the starting center fielder job in Grichuk’s absence, but the Cardinals presumably would like Grichuk to occupy the role once the postseason comes around. It should be interested to see if he takes a turn for the better in the next few days, as he still has not resumed baseball activities to date.
