For the first few days of the regular season and again for the last few weeks in 2014, the Rams carried five tight ends. It’s entirely possible that they’ll do that again this year, but with the current makeup of the roster, it seems like it will be really difficult to fit all five on, so it may be a battle between Alex Bayer and Justice Cunningham going into training camp. Since Cunningham is the better blocker and is a more adept special teams contributor, he may have the early edge over Bayer, a more receiving-focused tight end who was on the roster for the entirety of 2014 but dressed for just six games and did not record a catch.
