With the St. Louis Cardinals nearing the end of spring training and the big-league roster now close to being set, the organization now has more information to be able to set their minor-league rosters with. Obviously, the roster that makes the most difference to the major-league team is the Triple-A one, as that group is usually the one from which the MLB club selects in the event that they need to add a player due to injury or poor performance from a big-leaguer.

After an offseason in which the Cardinals shed a good amount of experienced depth players, including A.J. Pierzynski, Daniel Descalso, Mark Ellis, and Shane Robinson, and lost several experienced pitchers as Justin Masterson, Jason Motte, and Pat Neshek joined other clubs, there won’t be as much depth at Memphis to start the season.

With that said, the 2015 season will provide a quality opportunity for a multitude of players to prove their worth with the Cardinals organization at the Triple-A level, and it should be exciting to see how the Redbirds’ season plays out. Here’s a quick guess at how Memphis’s roster will look on Opening Day.
