Ranking the Top 15 Running Backs in the 2015 NFL Draft

T12. Matt Jones, 6’2, 231, Florida
Jones, who is arguably the most physically well-built back in this draft class, was never really the clear number one back with the Gators, but he has an intriguing skill set that may allow him to be a better pro than he was a college player.
Jones has great burst coming out of the backfield, and he’s got very quick feet. He keeps them churning as he moves down the field and makes it extremely difficult for defenders to bring him down. He is highly questionable as a pass protector, which is the biggest concern other than his lack of experience.
There are plenty of teams that are looking for a big, physical back who can make an impact between the tackles. Though he’s somewhat of a risky pick, Jones can be that guy and could end up being a valuable part of a team’s backfield rotation.
