10 NFL Draft Prospects with Most to Prove at NFL Scouting Combine
Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports
Dorial Green-Beckham, WR, Missouri
There’s perhaps no player at the combine who will need to make a stronger impression on teams than Dorial Green-Beckham. The former top receiver recruit, who was last listed at 6-foot-6 and 225 pounds, has some major character concerns, having been arrested twice for marijuana possession before being accused of pushing a woman down a staircase this past spring, which resulted in his dismissal from Missouri’s program.
Green-Beckham never got on the field during 2014, so he also needs to perform well in the on-field drills to prove that he’s still in shape and up to speed. “DGB” has a decent chance to be a first-rounder and would likely be the top receiver in the draft independent of off-the-field concerns, but he’ll need to make a major impression in Indianapolis to alleviate the uncertainty that surrounds him.
