Punter Christian Brinser has graduated from the program, which means there’s an opening at the position for 2015. With Fatony being in the unusual position (at Mizzou, at least) of being offered a scholarship out of high school as a specialist, he’d seem to be the favorite to win the job out of a group that also includes walk-ons Tom Kalish and Luke Jackson.

Fatony may ultimately end up replacing senior-to-be kicker Andrew Baggett and filling the once-common kicker/punter dual role. But as a freshman, Fatony, who averaged 42.5 yards per punt as a high school senior, will look to get his feet wet just as the punter.
